It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend,
Cathryn Baker, on February 28, 2022.

Cathryn and her husband, Brian, have been very active with ABTCR for many years; starting as transporters, and eventually fostering dozens of hounds. Cathryn and Brian opened their home and their hearts to injured or sick dogs and nursed them back to health before sending them on to their forever home. Most recently, they fostered Wilma and her seven newborn puppies and later adopted Wilma.

All dogs go to heaven, so God must have needed Cathryn's help. We know she is there now dancing with her beloved Black and Tan, Belle. There were a lot of hounds (and other dogs too!) waiting for her on the other side of that Rainbow Bridge.

Cathryn will be greatly missed, but her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. In Cathryn's honor and memory, please consider making a donation in her name to a fund that will be dedicated to helping special needs or critically ill hounds.
