We wanted to thank Coonhound Rescue for providing such a great service. We lost our Black and Tan Coonhound, Ember, in September at the age of 3 suddenly—she died at home of what the vet suspected was an aneurysm. We were broken hearted. Having known the love and company of a coonhound, our home felt so empty and lonely. A friend told us about Coonhound Rescue, so we went on to have a look. I didn’t feel like I had the energy to raise a puppy again, so looking for an adult dog was going to be perfect for us. For some reason when I saw Ruby’s picture I knew she would be the one. She came to us from a great foster home where they obviously took great care of her. She’s such a smart girl, trying hard every day to learn. And she’s just such a happy presence! We’ll never forget our girl Ember but having Ruby with us has been just wonderful.
