Just an update: she is settling in great and has tried the dog door a few times. She woke me up at 3 am by standing on my back in the bed, as if to say, "You belong to me." She is still a little nervous but spent most of the day lying in the sun on the porch, like a coonhound should. She is wonderful. We thought Magnolia was the right name, but in the end "Lucy" won out.
