We wanted to share with everyone our story of adopting Drifter (now Dallas). We had to put our 14 year old Lab to sleep in January. We were missing her and started looking at Rescue sites. My husband has always wanted a Bloodhound and he came upon a site for coonhound rescues. My children fell in love with Drifter and I started emailing the Rescue and they put me in touch with her foster mom, who answered all of the questions I had for her. She came from Missouri and was transported to us in NJ. It was an instant bond and she has brought so much joy into our family. We are amazed how quickly she has picked things up. I would recommend rescuing a coonhound to anyone who has the time . She loves to go for long walks/runs, but also loves to cuddle.
