Lizzy (formerly Izzy) is our happy ending. After losing a Treeing Walker Coonhound in March 2015 we weren't sure we wanted another dog. We have a 12 year old Chesapeake who is in his golden years and didn't know if we could emotionally take on another dog. Having dogs for 20+ years, it's never easy to say goodbye but the wonderful memories are well worth it. 6 months after losing Lilly, we saw a TV show about adopting a pet. We looked on the site then through a few clicks ended up on the Coonhound Rescue site and clicked on Indiana (not sure why - I live in PA). There she was, Izzy! She has slid in right where Lilly left off. Seems like she has been here all the time. No issues! This is the first rescue we have done and it has turned out to be a very good experience. Lizzy is so lovable and she loves to ride in the car. My vet made the remark that maybe Lilly sent Lizzy to you, I thought the same...:)
