We first met Major on December 7, 2013 while I was shopping at Bass Pro. He was there with his foster caregivers. I immediately fell in love with the mellow, sweet boy and asked my husband if we could consider adopting him. We have rescued several dogs but never a coonhound so we took some time to think about it. A week later, on December 15th, we had our big guy. He took to us instantly and has become a real momma's boy. He goes everywhere with us and has so far been on two trips to our deer lease and his first family camping trip to Lake Livingston State Park. We absolutely love him and can't imagine life without him. I've attached a few photos of his last 3 weeks with us.
