Today is the anniversary of my adoption so I thought it would be a good time to write and wish you a happy New Year and tell you that I am doing well. Mom says that there certainly were some hard times for everyone in 2008 but adopting me was one of the really happy ones for her. She says that I have been a very good boy and EVERYONE loves me from the moment they meet me. She calls me the "Love Sponge." :-)

My sister Luna and I enjoy going to the dog park on the weekends. If Mom does not let me out of the car quickly enough when we get to the park I start to bay. But I have a job to get to, keeping all of those feral cats on the other side of the park fence at bay. It keeps me very busy.

In addition, to complement my PhD in Couch Potato this year I did extensive post-doctoral work in Sunbathing....they do not call me a black and TAN for nothing!!!

We just had our annual winter holiday party. Mom was worried that having all of that food around would make it difficult for me to mind my manners but I did very well, because as much as I love food, I love SOCIALIZING even better!!

Since I am so sociable and lovey-dovey Mom thinks that I would make a great therapy dog...you know, the kind that visits hospitals and nursing homes and other such places to make people feel better. So over the next few weeks Luna and I are going to get evaluated and maybe soon we can start making even more people happy on a regular basis.

All of this would not have been possible if it weren't for MY foster parents so Mom and I and all of the critters here want to thank you so much for taking care of me and bringing us together. Please keep up the great work and have a wonderful 2009!
