AB&TC HAPPY ENDINGS - NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY

Just a quick update on Gertie. She is doing really well. It took a while for her break the whole peeing in the crate thing for whatever reason (she still does it occasionally), but she's good now. She ended up having to have her bad tooth out (actually 2 of her molars came out). The vet said the x-rays showed she was missing roots on her two back molars which are what caused the tooth to die (not enough blood flow). So, long story short, she was born that way. It's surprising she didn't break it on anything - she is a stick monster (more truthfully, an eat everything monster! :).

She had her 1st trip to my family's house in NJ and did really well with the craziness of Christmas. She was absolutely amazing with my 2 nieces and nephew (4, 3 1/2 & 3 yrs. old)! For being young herself and very rambunctious at times, she let the kids tug, squeeze and even try to ride her - LOL (she is kind of tall like a pony)! Everyone loved her saying how sweet she was. I was so proud of her. I've attached our coonhound holiday picture. I hope you can view it. You can see in the picture how much she trumps her brother, Bodine :). She is a good 3' taller than him, but weighs the same - tall and lanky.

Thanks again,
Sara Bullock

I would like to thank all of the wonderful people involved in the Coonhound Rescue for bringing Gertie (a.k.a Naughty, Naughty) into our lives. Gertie is the goofiest pup we have ever met! She is a non-stop ball of energy and would play rousing games of tug of war all day with her new brother, Bodine, if she had her way. Gertie is growing like a weed, although I don't think she has quite learned how to maneuver those long legs of hers. She is doing very well with her obedience training and loves play time with all of her new friends at the dog park. Gertie does rest once in a while. She loves laying in the sun on our deck and will squeeze herself into the smallest spaces if it means she will get to cuddle with us or her brother (she has been known to literally walk across Bodine to get to us!). My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect addition to our family. Thank you so much! We love our little Gertie girl!
