My family and I adopted Valentino from his foster, Beth Harris, in Kansas City. I picked him up Friday and he enjoyed the truck ride in the front seat beside me on the three hour drive to the Wichita area. Along the way we stopped at the local pet store where we went inside to get a bag of dog food. He is getting along great at his new home and enjoys his daily trips to the parks and long walks. We are changing his name to Smokey, he is doing well with the transition. I have two daughters, ages 3 and 1, and they can't get enough of him. He has been fishing one evening and loved the water and exploring the woods. He is sleeping though the night now and is doing well learning his routine. We are looking forward to an event called Woofstock in Wichita on Oct 3rd which is a fundraiser for the local humane society where everyone brings their dogs and there are walks and events for people and their animals. I will keep you posted on events in his new forever home.
