AB&TC HAPPY ENDINGS - CHARLOTTE

All of us at Rescue were saddened to learn that Anna Rose Schlein, shown here with her coonhound Marci, passed away on January 14, 2008. Not only did she make a huge difference in the life of Marci, but she and her husband helped transport many other coonhounds on their way to a better home.
Her husband said it best: "She loved all animals."

Here are a few more pictures of Marci at the agility bark park with her friend and our great-grandson, Brett. They both really enjoy going there. In the picture on the right, Marci seems to be asking Brett, "Well, what should we get into now?" After the park, Marci likes to take a nap among the pillows on Grandma's bed. What a dog's life.

We want to thank Jayne and Rescue for finding Marci for us. She is our perfect companion. And to think a little over a year and a half ago, she was so skittish about a leaf blowing across the yard. Now she is a sweet and friendly dog.

Thanks again,
Bob and Anna Schlein and Marci

Merry Christmas to all at the Black & Tan Coonhound Rescue from Charlotte, now "Marci." It is our wish for the New Year that many of the coons at the rescue will find a good a home as Marci has. She has come such a long way in the year and a half since we've gotten her. A smile and a laugh every day.

Thank you to Jayne and all,
Bob and Anna Schlein and Marci

We have had Marci (formerly "Charlotte-Mercy") for a year now and she is very much a part of our family. We even had her listed in the paper as family for our 60th anniversary. She enjoys her three daily walks and her large yard.

As you can see from the picture "with her favorite friend," Marci gets the chair and Grandpa sits at her feet. We haven't been able to convince her it's supposed to be the other way around. After her hard beginning, she deserves the royal treatment and she really gets it.

Thanks for much for our beautiful coonhound,
Bob and Anna Schlein

We adopted Charlotte-Mercy, now "Marci", seven months ago. She had been at the Logan County shelter for over a year after having 12 puppies there. When we got her, she was so afraid of everything, even her food dishes. TV literally panicked her. Now, she's the belle of obedience classes where everyone loves her. She is so sweet. Here are some pictures of our beautiful coonie just playing around at the Bark Park.
