We are so happy and thankful that we were able to adopt this little girl! We've named her Bonnie. It's only been a bit over a week and she just seems like part of the family already. She did get off to a rough start with Pippa (our other dog) when we first got back. There was a bad thunderstorm and Pippa acts odd and submissive during storms. I think it made Bonnie nervous and she tore Pippa's ear. They have completely forgiven each other though and really seem to enjoy being together now! They play-fight and take daytime naps curled up together.
She loves romping around our backyard and gets on so well with the boys. We've been taking her on walks and to the playground with us and she is so sweet to everyone she meets. We do have her in a crate when we go to bed, but she behaves so well in the house the rest of the time. Socks seem to be her weakness though- particularly if they've been worn! She has the cutest little howl. She doesn't do it that often but it is so funny when she does.
I let everyone know about coonhoundrescue.com when they ask about her breed. Thanks for all you do for these dogs! We just love her.
