After losing our 14 year old female Lab (old age) in February
and our 13 year old male Lab in June (to a heart condition), we
decided that Bones, our Black & Tan mix, needed a companion. Our
Vet introduced us to Lisa and Hall w/the American Black & Tan
Coonhound Rescue in our area and we were convinced that we wanted to
rescue another coonhound (Thank you Lisa & Hall for inviting us
into your home to meet your Black & Tans). We found our Bones 11
years ago along the roadside and did not think he would live the
night – just goes to show you that a little TLC goes a long way.
Jayne matched us up with Glenda and it did not take us long to
decide that she was the girl for us. She is such a sweetie –
everyone falls in love with her. She loves going for rides, hunting
in her big fenced back yard for anything that moves, and lounging in
Mom’s chair and sometimes Dad’s when he is not looking. She has
adapted to the Invisible Fencing but is never out of the fenced
backyard unsupervised. She gets along with Bones fabulously – we
could not have asked for a better match.
Thank you Molly for being such a wonderful foster Mom – Glenda
sends her love. Again, thanks goes to Lisa & Hall for getting
the ball rolling – to Jayne for being so quick to respond to our
application.
