Here are some updated pictured of Opal and Goldie.
Goldie has been with us a year now and Opal for seven
months. Opal has really come a long way from the underweight girl that arrived here last December. She really shows
the benefits of a good quality diet. The pictures are hard
to get as the girls are always active and hard to catch with
the camera. One of the pictures shows our foster, Kermit,
who will go to his new forever home next Saturday
with the others waiting for dinner.

Yahtzee came to us from ABTC Rescue through Bill and Sally Miller
as our first foster. We picked her up late Saturday night, December 15th
and brought home a tired, hungry, underweight and neglected coonie.
She had been on the road for some 12 hours being convoyed from
northwest Florida to Jupiter. We immediately put her on a raw food
diet and have put 6 or 7 pounds on her in the last few weeks.
Opal is such a sweetheart that we could not bear to give her up so we
decided that we would adopt her as she gets along so well with her
sisters, Raven the rottie and Goldie, our first ABTCR rescue in June '07.
Opal is now seen wagging her tail all time and really loves the long walks
and playtime with her sisters.
Thank you ABTC Rescue,

Goldie has been with us for 5 months now. She and Raven are
getting along very well. Goldie has really come out of her
shell and is very comfortable in her new home. We really
enjoy her comedic hound antics. She is doing especially
well on the B.A.R.F diet and it really shows in her coat,
white teeth and no "dog" bad breath. Our best guess is
that she is 12-14 months and past the 65lb mark and taller
than her Rottie sister, Raven.

Our 18 month old rescue rottie was the first to meet Heart of Gold at the
boarding house where she was being fostered here in Jupiter Farms Florida.
Raven the rottie and Goldie became fast friends. Upon our return to retrieve
Raven, we met Goldie and discussed adopting her, after all it was a shame to
seperate the two friends.
We had reciently lost Raven's older rottie buddies, a 4 year old to cancer
and
an 11 year old to failing health and old age. Raven picked Goldie so we
adopted
her. We have been rescuing dogs for nearly 30 years and have had as many as
four.
The house was so empty with a single dog and Goldie is certainly an
enriching
addition to the family, the two girls have become inseperable buddies and we
look forward to years of companionship with Goldie and Raven together.
Raven is 18-20 months old Goldie is 9-10 months old, what great ages for
puppies!
We have the 2 on an acre and a quarter with a pond and plenty of room to
run around. They enjoy air conditioned comfort during the heat of the day
and supervised play in the mornings and evenings. More as our lives
continue....
