I thought that we'd send you an update and some recent photos of the girls. They are beautiful and spirited...and are still loving to play alot! We've been through a 6 week training course with them and now we take walks with them frequently. They don't like riding in the car that much these days, but they'll eventually get there I'm sure. Scarlet continues to stay about 6 to 7 pounds below Ruby...which is fine because Ruby is 50 pounds! They are still really lovable with us and sociable with everyone they meet (and everyone that meets them thinks they are beautiful, too). They are a joy to come home to and immediately bring our spirits up if we've had a bad day. It's amazing how pets can do that!

We adopted Little Red Corvette (now Scarlet) and Red Sonja (now Ruby) from the Red Hots litter. We were able to bring them home on October 18th and they just turned 3 months old on the 24th. Their foster dad took great care of all of the puppies! They are friendly with every human that comes to visit them and love to be in our laps. Of course, they seem to want exactly what the other one wants...and sometimes there's a tussle to see who wins mom's or dad's lap!

They were scared of our big back yard the first couple of nights...but we set up a shop light on the back patio and pointed it at the yard. They are now getting braver and are exploring more and more on their own. They've also discovered the fluffy ornamental grass and have decided that they like to chase each other around and through it as a game.

They had their first checkup with our vet yesterday and he said the girls are healthy and coming along nicely. Scarlet is the runt of the litter and from what the foster dad told us, she was so small that the shelter people didn't think she'd live. But she's 7.5 pounds now and Ruby is 13.5 pounds. They both seem to be growing like weeds! We are crate training them and they seem to be taking to it for the most part. Housebreaking is another story, but we're getting there!

Thanks so much to AB&TCR for providing such an excellent program for all of the dogs. And a huge thank you to Roy, our girls' foster dad, who gave them his time and love for the first months of their lives!
