Just wanted to let you know we had Boomer put down last Saturday. Had been rather sickly the past year and his leg swelled up so big that the vet thought he had cancer in it. Anyway, we said our good-byes in deep gratitude for this heartworm-infested dog that entered our lives. He survived the treatment and became a great part of our family. My oldest daughter and I recall how we made our way through an ice storm to get him. Today she is doing an internship in college and, of all things, is working with wolves. Hands on! Boomer was instrumental in her being comfortable with dogs. We appreciate all you do to help these worthy animals.
