Elwood (formerly "Emmitt Smith") was put to sleep on June 15, 2009. He had histiocytic sarcoma in his spleen and liver. By the time that he was exhibiting symptoms, both his spleen and liver were enlarged, and it was only four days until he was so weak, and ready to go. We only had him for two years, but in that time, he brought so much love into our lives. He was sweet, gentle, and affectionate, and only tried to please us. We were so surpised at how sudden and fast he got sick, but we will never forget such a loyal and loving dog. We do and will miss him very much.
