I wanted to pass along the passing of Maeby (who came from the rescue as "Jackie Daniels") - she was a foster fail from the American Black and Tan Rescue in 2011. I knew within days that I'd keep the sweet girl that I picked up to foster - she was intensely loyal and loved our other Black and Tan, Tate, who passed in 2015. Despite her hound dog antics of escaping windows onto the roof to look for me, self-guided 5am beach walks, occasional counter surfing and destroying a few chairs early on in her life, she was my constant companion and gentle friend. She greeted me by jumping into bed every morning for a snuggle and made the highlight of the pandemic all of the extra time home with her by my side as I worked.

She made friends wherever she went and will he missed by many. She left us quickly and peacefully after a short battle with degenerative disc disease. We miss her greatly.
