Lu had some unexplained weight loss lately but I made sure she was thoroughly wormed and getting plenty of good food. A couple of days ago she started peeing blood and I rushed her to the vet. The vet kept her to run tests and found that Lu had an autoimmune disease that caused severe anemia and her liver and kidneys were failing. There was no hope for a cure so the only humane thing he could do was cuddle her while the vet euthanized her. Lu was not the type of hound that could have fit into many homes but she found her perfect place in the world with me. She was loved and thought she had the world by its tail, living there being "Daddy's girl".
