I am sorry to report that the party is over. Peggy Sue died on October 1, 2018. She was suffering from renal failure and melanoma. She was being treated for both but on the night of October 1st she became very ill. She laid down on the floor and I laid on the floor next to her and held her paw and petted her until she passed.

Peggy Sue was named after the Buddy Holly song. In a strange twist of fate, the Peggy Sue that the song was written about died the same day. At least Peggy Sue will have good company until I cross the Rainbow Bridge and the party begins again. Peggy will never be forgotten.
