It is with a sad heart that we send along news of Vanilla Bean’s passing. She passed suddenly, with no signs of suffering, on January 24, 2018. She did not wake from her slumber that morning and it brings us comfort to know that she was at home and warm by the wood stove when she crossed over. She was a special hound and the Queen of our little foursome. Although her face had grown white with age you would never guess she was 14+ years old by how she behaved. Her favorite pastimes were chasing rabbits in the back yard, sleeping by the wood stove and waiting for treats after dinner. The house is awfully quiet these days, we miss her so much! Until we meet again, Butter Bean, Beany Weany, Lumpy Lu Lu, Queen Bean… Forever and always in our hearts.
