Who We are
American Black & Tan Coonhound Rescue is a nonprofit group that has been actively rescuing Coonhounds and Bloodhounds since 2004. There are no paid employees, only a dedicated group of volunteers who love these hounds. 100% of donations and adoption fees fund the care of our foster hounds.
What We do
Our mission is to save the lives of Hounds who are overlooked, abandoned, or surrendered, and to match them with loving forever families. We provide each dog with medical care, safety, and patient foster homes where they can heal and thrive while we carefully evaluate the best fit for adoption. Beyond rescue, we are dedicated to educating the public about the true nature of these loyal, gentle companions—dispelling the myths and celebrating the joy they bring to families. Every adoption not only transforms a dog’s life but also enriches the lives of the people who open their hearts to them.
