Hunter

Hunter is a 2–3 year old, 65-pound sweetheart of a Treeing Walker Coonhound who was found alone at a boat launch in rural Alabama. This grateful boy is ready to find the family he’s been waiting for.

Hunter absolutely loves people and is happiest when he’s getting pets and spending time with his person. He gets along well with dogs and most cats, loves his crate, and is doing well with house training — he just needs a little patience and consistency to finish the job.

He’s playful outside and enjoys running around the yard, but he’s not an extremely high-energy dog. He is working on his leash manners, and he would excel in a beginner obedience class to help master his basic commands.

Hunter isn’t looking for a perfect person, just someone willing to teach, encourage, and love him. In return, he’ll give you his heart.
