Jerry

Jerry is a goofy, affectionate 1 year old Bluetick boy waiting in Chattanooga for a new home. Jerry is the kind of dog that wants to be wherever his people are, whether he's following them from room to room, lounging nearby after a day of adventure, or exploring the great outdoors with his nose to the ground. Being part of a family is all that he's ever wanted. Jerry is affectionate, loyal, and full of classic hound charm. He gets along well with most other dogs and especially enjoys young, playful canine companions that can keep up with his rough-and-tumble play style. He's also done wonderfully with the resident cats, proving that this handsome hound has a gentle side to match his enthusiasm. Jerry is an active, energetic boy that will flourish with a family that enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, and gives him plenty of opportunities to use both his body and his brilliant hound nose. Jerry would do best in a home without young children or with older, hound-savvy kids who understand and appreciate an energetic dog. Jerry has a world-class bay and isn’t shy about using it, so he is not a good candidate for close neighbors. Like many young dogs, he's still learning, and with patience, consistency, and positive guidance, Jerry will continue to grow into an incredible lifelong companion. Weighing 55 lbs, Jerry is doing great with housetraining and manners.
