Meet Louis!

Louis has come a long way from the streets of Mississippi, where this handsome 2 year old Bluetick Coonhound was found skinny, covered in ticks, and simply trying to survive. Today, Louis is an 80-pound big boy with an even bigger personality—and he has definitely discovered the joys of regular meals!

Breakfast had better be served on time, because Louis has very strong opinions about tardy room service.

This boy is affectionate, goofy, and full of personality. He loves giving hugs, and when he plays with his doggy friends, he has no problem throwing those big ol’ paws around. He’s a muscular, strong boy, so his ideal person will need to be confident and comfortable handling his strength on leash.

And then there are those adorably crooked front legs. They give Louis a look that is completely his own and somehow make him even more irresistible.

Louis is completely housebroken, and he is kennel trained. Even better, he willingly goes into his kennel—no wrestling match required!

Louis is looking for someone who will appreciate his big body, big heart, big appetite, and BIG personality. If you’re looking for a handsome hound who will make you laugh, keep you on schedule, and occasionally wrap his giant paws around you for a hug, Louis might just be your guy.
