Sierra

Sierra is a 6–7 year old Bluetick girl who was surrendered by her owner and is currently waiting in the Cleveland area for her forever home. She has grown up with children and dogs, and has been wonderful with all of them.
Sierra is both housetrained and crate trained, and she’s a petite lady at about 55 pounds. Her favorite things include snuggling on the couch and quietly keeping an eye on the yard. She’s currently enjoying two to three short walks a day (about 2 miles total) and has been friendly with all the neighborhood dogs and cats she meets.
Like a typical hound, Sierra has a nice balance of energy. She enjoys her walks but is very laid back at home. Her foster family is working on improving her leash manners and reinforcing basic skills like recall and sit, and she is picking things up quickly.
Sierra would do well in a home with other dogs (no cats!) although she’s not especially interested in playtime—she’s more of a calm companion.
This affectionate girl would thrive with a forever family who can provide gentle guidance, consistent leadership, plenty of love, and regular exercise. In return, she’ll offer loyalty, companionship, and lots of cozy couch time.
